Karen Willis: CEO

 Karen Willis has over 20 years’ experience of educational leadership, and 15 years’ of headship.  Karen has worked as a consultant headteacher for the National Strategies, the Teacher Development Agency and London Challenge.  

She was a Primary Director of the school improvement organisation ‘London Leadership’, run by heads to support schools with school improvement.  Karen has also supported headteachers working as a National Leader in Education across the UK.  

Karen has completed a Masters degree, looking at the Italian early years’ philosophy of education - Reggio Emilia.

 Karen is delighted to be the CEO of Temple Grove Academy Trust and is committed to every child achieving their full potential.  She is married to a secondary teacher and has four grown up children and a grandson.

Charlotte Jayaraj: CFO

 Charlotte Jayaraj, ACA, joined Temple Grove Academy Trust as Chief Financial Officer in the Autumn of 2017. Prior to this she had been acting as Clerk to the Governors for Temple Grove Academy.

Charlotte trained, qualified and worked as a Chartered Accountant with PWC over a period of 8 years. Her focus was primarily large multinational Entertainment and Media clients, and her work was a combination of Assurance and Transaction Services.

During a career break, Charlotte used her financial background to support several local charitable initiatives, including bringing high speed broadband to a rural community and successfully obtaining grant funding for the refurbishment of a historic building. In addition to this, her passion for tennis led her to qualify as as Assistant Tennis Coach and she works several times a week, coaching young children and passing on her love of the game to them.

Charlotte lives in Kent and has two school aged children. She believes that a positive experience of primary education is the stimulus for a lifelong love of learning, enabling all individuals to achieve their full potential.

Isabel Ramsay: Consultant headteacher

Isabel Ramsay was the Executive Head Teacher of Bandon Hill Primary, until August 2017 year, which is a 6 form entry school across two sites, there is also a specialist Autistic department at the school. Bandon Hill has maintained “Outstanding” for the past 18 years, 2015, 2008, 2003 and 1998.

She has been a Head teacher for the past 29 years, working in Primary, First and Junior schools. Previously a Head Teacher in Surrey for 5 years before starting at Bandon Hill in January 1994.  In 2010 she was awarded National Leader in Education status and Bandon Hill became a National Support School. 

Over the past years Isabel has been a Primary Consultant Leader and worked for London Challenge advising schools on school improvement and working with schools needing Intensifying Support. She also undertook Head Teacher Performance Management training with Cambridge Education Associates who initially were responsible for Head Teachers PM. She also completed the Improvement Partner (SIP) training and worked as a consultant in Surrey schools.

She has been seconded to manage and lead under achieving schools in 1999 and 2009 as the substantive Head Teacher

Isabel has also served as a Governor at various Secondary and Primary Schools along with a school for hospital tuition and pupil re-integration.

Isabel joins the team at TGAT as Consultant Headteacher.
